About Me

Hi there! Thank you for visiting! My name is Alexis J and I’m a natural skeptic. Before anyone’s guidance or advice holds weight with me, I like to know their background, their experiences, their accomplishments, etc. I essentially want to know why I should believe you. So in case you are like me, here’s a little information about me…

I am a follower of Jesus Christ and I have worked in corporate for a Fortune 100 company for the last 10+ years. 5 of those 10 years I have worked in supervision. I love people and I’m extremely passionate about helping others anyway that I can which is why I love leadership. I consider myself to be a servant leader (check out the Servant Leadership blog), and I believe being in leadership positioned me better than any other role I’ve worked to really make a difference in the lives of my coworkers. I have successfully led my teams through a variety of accomplishments, such as manufacturing unit start ups, 1st in industry technology implementations, and work output increases of over 30%. However, I am most proud of the fact that my team members enjoyed working under my supervision and felt that God used me to make a difference in their lives.

I grew up in Beaumont, TX and graduated from Lamar University with a Chemical Engineering degree. I’m the product of a loving Christian home. My dad is a high school teacher and football coach, my mom is a therapist, and my brother is also an engineer. My parents have been married 35+ years and still go out on dates.

In 2017, God blessed me to become the wife to my middle school sweetheart, and in 2020 and 2022, God blessed me to become a mom to two wonderful, smart, hilarious, wild, and handsome boys. My house is often loud, at times messy, and seldom boring.

Jesus is my foundation, my compass, and my source of peace. I am a practical, fun, down to earth, overly transparent, caring, imperfect Christian that aspires to lead in all areas of her life in a way that makes God proud.

The great leaders I have encountered in my life have been life changing. The bad ones have been too. I hope this blog inspires you, challenges you, makes you laugh, and most importantly, helps you in some way along your leadership journey.

Sincerely,

Alexis J
